Before your appointment
- Let hair grow to about 5 mm, roughly the length of a grain of rice (2 to 3 weeks after shaving).
- Exfoliate gently 1 to 2 days before, but not on the day.
- Skip moisturiser and body oil on the area that morning.
- Tell us about retinoids, acne medication or recent peels. They can make skin more sensitive to wax.
For 24 hours after
- Avoid hot baths, saunas, swimming and the gym.
- Stay out of strong sun and skip self-tan.
- Wear loose, breathable clothing over the waxed area.
- From day 3, exfoliate twice a week to help prevent ingrown hairs.
